Encouraged by breakthrough results realized with Lean methods, Larry brings to Unified Works a passion to help Design and Construction Project Teams and Owners learn and implement relevant Lean processes and tools to optimize the whole – i.e. Value Stream Mapping, A3 Thinking to Problem Solve, Root Cause Analysis, Decision-making, and more.

Utilizing continuous improvement disciplines and A3 Thinking, Larry led the work to collaborate with dozens of design and construction colleagues to develop the Visual Decision Plotter® - a proven Lean counter-measure to one of biggest issues and long-term plague to our lean journey: Waiting on Decisions; Uncertainties in Deciding; Durability and Quality of Decisions.

Born into the construction business in Chicago to a Carpenter turned Superintendent turned General Contractor turned Developer, Larry’s earliest work experiences and work ethic were established laboring on job site crews. Additional professional roles beyond construction spanning more than 20 years arms Larry with a deep understanding to navigate supply chains, deliver business development and generate senior-level strategic planning.

Larry’s introduction to Lean and Lean Manufacturing began more than 15 years ago in his Executive MBA program at Saint Mary’s College. An improvement initiative hatched in B-School by Larry resulted in translating his MBA Capstone thesis to create a VC-funded business intelligence system called TradePulse which arms owners and field teams with visual management tools to monitor and improve distribution results.
